Zenit’s Roman Shirokov: Wernbloom should have been sent off

Zenit St. Petersburg and Russia midfielder expressed his anger at CSKA’s Pontus Wernbloom, saying the Swede should have been sent off for his fouls and aggressive play.

«If CSKA’s number 3 keeps going as he is, he will break some legs in the Russian Premier League. I think in the match against us he did enough to earn a red card,» the midfield man complained in an interview to Sport-Express.

«Overall I can’t really fault the Red-Army, they are decent lads, but Wernbloom looked to hack people down in their previous match against Madrid, too. Those are not hard tackles, they are fouls,» the Russia international added.
