Igor Akinfeev: I am happy to remain a CSKA player

CSKA Moscow Number 1 Igor Akinfeev, who is recovering from a long-term injury, in an interview to Vesti.ru claimed he is perfectly happy at the Russian club.

«It would be silly to think that clubs would offer to sign an injured player. Journalists have already sent me to several clubs from all sorts of countries. But I am a CSKA player and I am happy here,» the Russia international said.

«I saw plenty of examples of players going to English clubs, but did they really benefit from those moves or was it a step back for them? We will have our own training camp soon, which will be in Moscow, so it won’t take ages to get to,» the Red Army skipper insisted.
