Anzhi boss Hiddink denies Arshavin interest

Anzhi Makhachkala manager Guus Hiddink, speaking at a press-conference after his team’s 3-1 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in a friendly, dismissed speculations of Andrey Arshavin’s possible move to Dagestan.

«Did you know that Andrei Arshavin was demoted to the reserves by Arsenal manager Arsen Wenger, and is there any chance of Anzhi making a move for the player?»

«At the moment the only team I have been following is Anzhi, so I can’t say much else about this. We’ll see what happens in the future,» the Dutchman told Sovetsky sport.
