Russian players union plans to file an appeal in the «Gogniev case»

Russian Professional Footballers Union (RPFU) chief Aleksander Zotov stated that the organisation will file an appeal over the «Gogniev case». After an investigation the Russian authorities failed to find any evidence of criminal behaviour in the Grozny incident, where Spartak Gogniev was allegedly assaulted by a group of unknowns.

«Our lawyers have already prepared an appeal to the Chechen prosecutors, so we waiting for their full decision to be announced before filing our plea,» Zotov stated.
