Football: Capello, Hiddink and Luxemburgo among contenders for Anzhi job

ProSports Management agency chief German Tkachenko, who is also an aide to Anzhi Makhachkala owner Suleiman Kerimov, has began the quest to find a new manager for the Dagestani outfit, Bobsoccer.ru reports.

According to the website’s sources, the main contenders to replace Yury Krasnozhan as head coach of Anzhi are former England manager Fabio Capello, ex-Turkey head coach Guus Hiddink and Brazilian specialist Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

Former Brazil manager Dunga and Dutchman Louis van Gaal are also on the shortlist.

Currently Capello is considered to be the favourite for the role, though his agent denied holding negotiations with any clubs and insisted his client is currently in Switzerland.
