Spartak Moscow’s victory in Copa del Sol brings them first trophy since 2003

Spartak Moscow overcame FC Copenhagen in Copa del Sol final to earn their first trophy in almost nine years.

The Russian outfit secured victory in the tournament thanks to a 33-minute goal by Argentine defender Nicolas Pareja.

The Red-and-White’s last tournament victory took place in the season 2002-2003, when they beat Rostov in the final of the Russian Cup.
