Pontus Wernbloom: Hopefully, CSKA will start netting regularly from set-pieces

CSKA Moscow’s new signing Pontus Wernbloom spoke about his first impressions of the Russian team in an interview to the website Bobsoccer.ru

«I like to go for crosses and long-balls, so I make runs into the opponent’s area during set-pieces. I even scored after a set-piece in one of our recent test matches, though the goal was disallowed. But the key is finding the net in official games, which I hope to do regularly,» said the former AZ midfield.

«We have a number of players, who are good in the air: Berezutsky brothers, Ignashevich, Necid. I believe set-pieces can become a real weapon for us next year. In our most recent friendly I was already very comfortable on the pitch. Friendly matches and training sessions are helping me get to know my new teammates and adapt to our game,» explained the Swede.
