Roberto Carlos: I am never going to be a manager
Anzhi Makhachkala veteran defender Roberto Carlos in an interview to Sport-Express insisted he is not interested in going into management.
«I am always ready to offer my support to the coaching staff, but I definitely don’t want to become the head coach myself,» said the former Brazil international, who took up the assistant manager’s position at Anzhi on a temporary basis last season.
«When you have someone like [Anzhi owner] Kerimov leading us, you want to share your experience with everyone at the club, and not just in footballing matters, but in everything. I have a strong desire to help in establishing the club’s course of development, to participate in preparing the new generation of youngsters for the World Cup 2018. Work that is not limited to merely playing for the first team is what excites me,» added the former Real Madrid left-back.
