Eto’o suspended from playing for Cameroon for 15 games
Football Federation of Cameroon (FECAFOOT) suspended Anzhi striker Samuel Eto’o from the national team. The player will not be allowed to feature for his country in its next 15 matches, the official website of the organization reported.
Eto’o is penalized for inciting his teammates the friendly game against Algeria after the Cameroon FA had failed to pay the players for the previous games. The friendly was eventually called off and the Algerian FA now demands financial compensation from Cameroon.
Earlier unofficial reports claimed Eto’o would be banned for seven games, however, later this information was denied.
