Stanislav Cherchesov takes charge of Terek Grozny
Today Stanislav Cherchesov was officially appointed as head coach of Terek Grozny, signing a two-year contract with the Chechen club.
According to Terek’s official site, Cherchesov was approved as the best candidate after lengthy negotiations with the club’s president, Ramzan Kadyrov.
A former goalkeeper of Spartak Moscow and Tirol Innsbruck, Cherchesov has already coached two Russian teams. He won the silver of the Russian championship in 2007 with Spartak Moscow, and also worked at First Division club Zhemchuzhina Sochi, who went bankrupt this year.
