Pavlyuchenko feels unhappy at Tottenham, but won’t leave now according to agent

Tottenham Hotspur and Russia forward Roman Pavlyuchenko said he feels unhappy with the lack of first-team football at the London club.

«Judging by the fact than there is Adebayor who joined the team, I’m not going to have any opportunities at all in the nearest future. That obviously doesn’t suit me. My agents are in London at the moment, meeting Levy, the president of the club, and trying to find the way out of this situation, but they haven’t succeeded yet.

«We suggested the idea of a half-year loan, but Levy is categorically against it. Meanwhile, there are five forwards in the team now and someone won’t even make it into the match squad and, thus, will have to leave.

«There are some options to choose from. In particular, Sunderland were interested in me.

«Everything suits me in Tottenham. Everything, except for the time I get to spend on the pitch. Still, if I don’t play, there is no reason to renew the contract, unfortunately,» Sport-Express quoted Pavlyuchenko as saying.

However, according to his agent, Oleg Artemov, the Russian striker won’t leave the club now. He denied the reports by the Portuguese news site A Bola claiming that FC Porto intend to sign Pavlyuchenko in case they fail to negotiate the loan of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

«Roma will remain at Tottenham until the next transfer window at least,» Artemov said according to Sovetsky sport.
