Anzhi set to sign Standard Liege midfielder Carcela-Gonzalez for €5.5m

According to the information that became available to Sports.ru, Anzhi Makhachkala will pay €5.5m for Standard Liege midfielder Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez.

The Belgian club will receive €5m immediately, while the remaining €0.5m will be remitted by Anzhi in 2013. In addition to that, Standard will get €0.5m more in case Anzhi win the Russian Premier League and €0.5m more if Anzhi win the Europa League during the time of Carcela-Gonzalez’s contract.

Spartak had earlier displayed their interest in the player. According to Sports.ru, the Moscow-based club were offering Carcela-Gonzalez €8m for 3.5 years, but the midfielder refused to accept the proposal.
