Standard Liege general director denies Anzhi offer for Carcela-Gonzalez

Standard Liege general director Pierre Francois commented on the reports suggesting that the Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala are interested in signing the Belgian club’s midfielder Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez.

«As of today we do not have any offers from Anzhi. However, there’s still time left until the end of the transfer window, so I cannot guarantee that the player will remain in our team,» Francois stated according to La Derniere Heure.

It’s worth noting that earlier the owner of Spartak Moscow Leonid Fedun had declared that the Red-and-Whites had already agreed terms with Standard and would try to persuade Carcela-Gonzalez to transfer.
