Spalletti confirms Meira’s move, denies Tymoshchuk’s loan

Zenit St. Petersburg head coach Luciano Spalletti commented on the reports suggesting the Russian club may try to loan Anatoly Tymoshchuk from Bayern Munich and confirmed that the Portuguese defender Fernando Meira will move to Spain’s Real Zaragoza.

«We are still searching for the players able to strengthen our squad, that’s probably the reason why various surnames emerge in the media. Tymoshchuk? I’m perfectly aware of what he meant for the team, but now he plays for one of the greatest European clubs, earns good money, and is completely happy, I believe. That’s why I can’t imagine him coming back to Zenit.»
