Sp. Lisbon’s Alberto Zapater hasn’t signed for Lokomotiv yet

Despite recent reports, Sporting Lisbon midfielder Alberto Zapater has not signed a contract with Lokomotiv yet, according to Hoyenaragon.es citing a source close to the player.

As the edition reported, Zapater is really holding negotiations with the Russian club, however, no agreement has been reached yet. Moreover, Greece’s Olympiacos and an unnamed Italian club are also thought to be interested in Zapater.

The player’s future is expected to become clear next week.

It’s worth noting that yesterday Lokomotiv president Olga Smorodskaya also denied the alleged signing of a five-year contract with Zapater.
