Carcela-Gonzalez’s agent: My client is still thinking whether to move to Spartak

The agent of Standard Liege midfielder Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez, Jorge Vidal has commented on the reports about the player’s possible move to Spartak Moscow.

«Spartak’s offer was very good, but Mehdi is still thinking. It is unlikely that he will make his final decision this week, though it’s football and everything can happen quite quickly,» Vidal stated to Het Nieuwsblad.

It should be noted that according to Valery Karpin, head coach of the Russian club, Carcela-Gonzalez isn’t the only option considered by Spartak.

«Carcela-Gonzalez is one of candidates for the winger’s position. Aside from him we are considering five more persons. We have only inquired whether a certain team is ready to sell a player – and now various rumors started to resurface. That’s how it all happens», Karpin said as quoted by Sovetsky Sport.
