Dan Petresсu: My termination fee makes €15m, no club can afford that

Kuban Krasnodar head coach Dan Petrescu has commented on the reports alleging that he could take charge of Lokomotiv.

The Railwaymen have recently appointed Jose Couceiro to this position, however, until the official announcement various sources reported that Petrescu may take charge of Lokomotiv, unilaterally terminating his contract with Kuban.

«For today I am the coach of Kuban. Kuban have their own coach, while Lokomotiv have theirs. I have my own objectives – I want to qualify to Europe with my team.

«The termination fee provided by my contract makes €15 million. No club in the world can afford to pay so much for me. Thus, I have to do fulfill my duty.

«Could I take charge of Chelsea? No, there there was nothing real. There were some Italian and Romanian teams, who were interested in me, but it all came to nothing eventually,» stated Petrescu as quoted by ProSport.ro.
