Russia will have second national team

Head of the Russian Football Union (RFS) Sergey Fursenko has announced the decision to establish the second Russian national team.

«We have made the decision to create the second Russian national football team. It was voted on Friday by the bureau of the RFS Executive Committee.

«There are already candidates for the head coach position. However, I won’t reveal their names, as it is still premature. Most probably it will be a Russian coach. The team will include the players who fail to make it into the main team,» stated Fursenko according to RIA Novosti.

There is a high probability that the second Russian national team will play its first friendly match in August already.
