Rubin suspend talks with Benfica on Ansaldi’s transfer

Rubin Kazan have officially halted the negotiations with Benfica Lisbon concerning the move of defender Cristian Ansaldi to the Portuguese club.

The parties failed to come to an agreement, as the amount offered by Benfica for the transfer of the 24-year-old Argentinean did not meet Rubin’s demands, reads the statement on the official site of the Russian club.

The player had earlier declared he would like to join Benfica.
