Aiden McGeady set to miss two months due to ankle injury
The recovery of Spartak Moscow’s Irish midfielder Aiden McGeady after injury will take about two months, according to the club’s official website.
Medical examination has shown that McGeady seriously injured the ligaments in his left ankle joint during the RPL match against Rubin Kazan. After a series of consultations with European experts, medical staff of Spartak came to a conclusion that no surgery is required. A special program of treatment and recovery was developed for the player.
It’s also worth noting that the other two Spartak players – Alexander Sheshukov and Welliton – already recovered after injuries and trained with the rest of the team today.
