Fedor Emelianenko agrees to fight Henderson

Fedor Emelianenko is expected to complete an agreement to fight Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson this week, according to management team M-1 Global. Their representative Apy Echteld has visited Emelianenko’s trainin camp in the Netherlands revealing the legendary Russian would agree to the fight.

«He agreed. He’s ready to fight,» Echteld told ESPN. «With his progress from training, I can only think he’ll be back the way he was. If he doesn’t win, he’ll make his own decisions like he does now. If he stops, he stops. But if he wins, I think he’ll continue fighting.»

Previously it had been said that Emelianenko was reluctant to come down from heavyweight to the 205 lb division for a fight with Henderson.
