Denis Lebedev’s next fight may be in England against Antonio Tarver

Vladimir Khryunov, manager of the Russian boxer Denis Lebedev, who defeated former world champion James Toney yesterday and became the holder of the interim WBA cruiserweight title, revealed his clients plans.

«We have several options for Denis to continue his career. One of the most likely is the fight against American boxer Antonio Tarver, which may be held in England. Lebedev’s British promoter Frank Warren is interested in organizing such a fight.

«We are also ready to fight with the main WBA title holder Guillermo Jones, but he fights once a year, so we would have to wait a long time,» Khryunov said as quoted by BoxingScene.com.
