Olga Zaitseva may undergo surgery to continue her career

The head coach of the Russian national team Valery Polkhovsky has revealed that the double Olympic champion Olga Zaitseva will continue her career, but may require a surgery for that.

«Yesterday we discussed this issue with Zaitseva, her sister, and her coach Oksana Rocheva, as well as the chief executive of the Russian Biathletes’ Union Sergey Kushchenko. Olga has a minor injury. She may require a minor surgery, but is it also possible that a rehabilitation course will be enough,» said Polkhovsky to Sovetsky Sport.

«As soon as Olga recovers, she will arrive to the national team’s camp and will start preparations for the season.»
