Lithuanian prodigy Jonas Valanciunas named Europe’s best young player of 2011, Kulagin is 8th
Lithuanian international Jonas Valanciunas has been voted FIBA European Young Player of the Year for 2011.
The Lithuanian currently plays for BC Lietuvos Rytas. He was selected by the Toronto Raptors with the fifth overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.
Spaniard Nikola Mirotic from Real Madrid came second, while Russian youngster Dmitry Kulagin came 8th in the rankings.
