Andrey Kirilenko: not ready to play yet, but has offer from Sacramento Kings
CSKA forward Andrey Kirilenko explained why he didn’t play against Panathinaikos last night.
«I tried to come back on the court in Saturday’s match against BC Khimki. However, I only made sure that is wasn’t completely ready to play yet. So the coach and I have decided not to speed up the preparations and follow the advice of the doctors who have given four weeks for my recovery. By the way, this term will expire soon,» Kirilenko said as quoted by Sovetsky sport.
Kirilenko has been recovering from nose and shoulder injuries, but only managed to spend 7 minutes on the court against Khimki.
Meanwhile, according to The Sacramento Bee, Kirilenko has already received a proposal from the NBA’s Sacramento Kings. The Russian signed a three-year agreement with CSKA Moscow in September on a free transfer, but has a provision in his contract allowing him to leave after the NBA lockout ends.
