Russia’s final roster for women’s EuroBasket announced
After trying to cancel its own decision on the expansion of the national teams’ squads from 12 to 14 players, FIBA-Europe has finally allowed national federations to include 14 players in their lists for the women’s European championship, which is set to start in Poland on Saturday.
According to Sport-Express, the Russian national team will fly today to Poland consisting of the following players:
forwards - Olga Arteshina, Tatyana Vidmer (both – UGMK), Yevgenia Belyakova (Spartak St. Petersburg), Marina Kuzina (Dynamo), Maria Cherepanova (Vologda-Chevakata), Lyudmila Sapova (Nadezhda),
centers – Natalia Myasoyedova (Dynamo-GUVD), Irina Osipova (Sparta&K), Maria Stepanova (UGMK),
defenders – Svetlana Abrosimova (UGMK), Yelena Danilochkina (Vologda-Chevakata), Yekaterina Keiru (Spartak St. Petersburg), Ilona Korstin (Sparta&K), Tatyana Popova (Dynamo).
