Согласно новому расписанию, формульная трасса ГП Кореи в Йонаме уже этим летом  примет гоночную серию Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo 2014. 24 августа на юго-западное побережье Кореи приедет азиатский этап престижной серии. Это - второй по счету этап серии в Корее после прошлогоднего дебюта на трассе Инчже Спидиум в провинции Канвондо. 

After dropping from F1 2014 calendar Korea International F1 circuit in Yongam will host Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo 2014 Asian series race. On August 24th the second Korea's Lambo Super Trofeo race will be held after new landmark in Lamborghini’s motor sporting history for the first time ever was made in South Korea last summer.

That eagerly awaited Korean debut marked the third round of the 2013 year’s extraordinary championship and was hosted at the country’s brand new International Circuit, Inje Speedium. Korean racing saw spectacular success as Ryu Si-Won, the first ever contestant from Korea, took consecutive victories in group B of race 1 and race 2. This stop of the Super Trofeo Asia Series revealed every competitive enthusiasm, extraordinary performance and gentlemanly conduct witnessed so far this season. The evident signs of relief and joy from those who took to the podium were an inspiring sight after such closely contested pursuits for victory. This weekend held particular emotional significance for Korean actor, singer and Lamborghini enthusiast Ryu Si-Won, who was greeted and cheered on by a passionate home crowd, delivering a memorable occasion to all in attendance.

2014 season began.

A thrilling new year of racing this season has begun on March 13th in Sebring (Florida) where the first race of the American series of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo 2014 took place. Automobili Lamborghini confirmed its commitment in motorsport by announcing the 2014 race calendars for its European, Asian and American Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. After season start in Florida Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo will head to Europe for the legendary Monza track. In Europe, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo will again race alongside the FIA WEC Blancpain Endurance Series.

 

‘The world’s fastest one-make series’, featuring the 570 hp, V10, permanent four-wheel drive Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo is now in its sixth, third and second year in Europe, Asia and America respectively. It ensures maximum track time for gentlemen and amateur drivers with practice, qualifying and two 50-minute races during two-day race weekends.

In Europe, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo will again race alongside the Blancpain Endurance Series. In America, the 2014 calendar includes some of the most iconic circuits in the US and Canada and will be run in partnership with the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). The Asian series will visit the most important F1 race tracks in Shanghai, Sepang and Fuji (Japan) and, for the first time, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo will race in Indonesia.

 

The 2014 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo World Final will be hosted in Sepang, Malaysia in November, and will be open to all drivers from each series worldwide competing for the ultimate title: the race weekend will include the sixth race of the European and Asian Series.

Swiss luxury brand Blancpain continues its sponsorship for all the three series in Europe, Asia and America and confirms its partnership for the next three years. Committed to sustain traditional watchmaking and innovation, the oldest watch brand in the world has sponsored the competition since its inception in 2009.

 The increasing success of the series worldwide has led to a major involvement by partners. In addition to the title sponsor Blancpain other companies support the championship: Pirelli, Castrol and OMP have confirmed their technical support for all three series together with the technical sports apparel producer, X-Bionic, as a new 2014 partner.

Last year saw its first Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series in North America, with the title going to Kevin Conway of Lamborghini Carolinas and Change Racing. Note, Lamborghini once again plans to hold a ‘World Finals’ event where the top drivers of each series is brought together to compete in a final round of competition to determine the best of the best. Lamborghini will also continue with its Esperienza events where test drives of Lamborghini road cars can be arranged for potential customers.

Each Blancpain Super Trofeo consists of practice and qualifying sessions and two 50-minute races during two-day race weekends. Last year the cost of entry for the North American series was $17,500 per driver, or $35,000 per car, per race weekend. The Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo is very closely linked to the road-going Gallardo, although it features a number of modifications. Its basic drivetrain is barely changed, though, featuring a 562-horsepower 5.2-liter V-10 paired with the standard e-gear transmission and all-wheel-drive system. The cars are all kept and maintained by Lamborghini’s new Squadra Corse motorsport division. Starting this year, Squadra Corse will also be picking the best young drivers from the three separate Super Trofeo series to be involved in a testing program for Lamborghini’s recently announced GT3 program.
