Сюрприз MotoGP: Ливио Суппо — новый менеджер команды Suzuki
After Davide Brivio left Suzuki at the end of 2020 after winning the Joan Mir title, Suzuki kept her responsibilities within the company by not hiring anyone to replace the Italian. Thus, during the 2021 season, Brivio's place and duties were taken by Shinichi Sahara, in addition to the status of project leader that the Japanese driver already had.
Now, after a difficult 2021 in which Suzuki was one notch below its competitors, the Japanese brand has surprised the entire paddock by announcing the hiring of Livio Suppo as team manager.
Livio Suppo is a well-known manager in the MotoGP paddock. He started his career 28 years ago with the Benetton Honda Team in the 125cc classes. cm and 250 cu. Since then, he has spent 11 years with Ducati as project manager, which included the crowning of Casey Stoner as champion. He then moved to HRC, where he was team director for seven years, and five more titles were won. Since his departure from MotoGP, Suppo has built a successful e-bike company, but he feels now is the perfect time to get back in the paddock.
