Eto’o passes medical examination for Anzhi, receives number 99 shirt
Inter Milan forward Samuel Eto’o has passed his medical examination required to finalize the move to the Russian club and signed a three-year contract.
The Cameroonian also received number 99 shirt at Anzhi, according to the club’s official site. On Thursday or Friday Eto’o is expected to arrive in Moscow, where Anzhi are premanently based, and will begin training with the rest of the team.
Still, it is unlikely that Eto’o will take part in the upcoming Russian Premier League game against Rostov within Matchday 22. Anzhi head coach Gadzhi Gadzhiev said the star newcomer will hardly be able to fit in the squad in two or three days.
«I believe Eto’o will join us the day after tomorrow. It’s unlikely that he will play against Rostov. As for the next game, it will all depend on the player’s conditions. Naturally, I have to talk to him about that.
«It’s hard to tell whether he will play together with another forward. We can transform from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2. Therefore, I find it conceivable that we will play with two forwards,» Gadzhiev said to Sport-Express.
